Wangjiang Tower Park 望江楼公园
A riverside bamboo park centred on a historic tower associated with Tang poet Xue Tao. It is peaceful, green and less crowded than central sights.

The free garden area is pleasant, but pay the small fee to climb the tower and see the bamboo collection.

Do I need to book Wangjiang Tower Park in advance?
Advance booking is possible but not mandatory: reserve/buy online through the WeChat mini-program '成都市望江楼公园' using your ID card, or buy on site with ID at the north gate ticket window or the window inside '枕流雅筑' (文创售卖点). One visitor post says to reserve the free ticket one day ahead via the park's WeChat account and that scanning your ID at the gate also works. Nothing on the pages states whether foreign passports can be used for online booking.
