Nihao Plan (nihaoplan.com) makes custom China travel guides. This page explains what we collect, why, who helps us process it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions: hello@nihaoplan.com.
What we collect
- Your email address, and your name if you give it.
- Your trip: cities, dates, number of travellers, passport country, budget, pace and interests.
- Anything you choose to add: food needs, mobility needs and other notes. Please share only what helps plan your trip.
- Flights and hotels you add to update your guide, and the questions you ask about it.
- If you create an account: a scrambled (hashed) form of your password, never the password itself. If you sign in with Google: the name, email address and profile picture Google shares with us.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your card number; we receive the amount, the payment status and your email.
Cookies and analytics
We use only the cookies the site needs: one keeps you signed in and protects forms, one remembers your language. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies and no tracking scripts.
We count page views on our own server without cookies. A visit is counted under a code made from your IP address, browser and a secret that changes every day; your IP address is not stored, and we can't follow you from one day to the next.
How we use it
To write, deliver and update your guide, answer your questions, send you sign-in links and delivery emails, take payments, and keep the service safe from fraud and abuse. We don't sell your data and don't use it for advertising.
Who helps us
We share only what each service needs to do its job. They include:
- Stripe: payments and refunds.
- Resend: sends our emails.
- Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.
How long we keep it
We keep your guides and account so you can open them again later. Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. You can ask us to delete your account and guides at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, download or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email hello@nihaoplan.com from the address you used with us; we reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Security
The site uses HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, and only we can open the admin tools. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update this page and the date at the top.
