Yuexiu Park 越秀公园
Guangzhou's biggest central park, home of the Five Rams Statue and the Ming-dynasty Zhenhai Tower, which holds the city museum.

Yuexiu Park is Guangzhou's citywide comprehensive park, with roots reaching back to 1927. Its setting, Yuexiu Mountain, belongs to the Baiyun Mountain range, rises just over 70 metres, and has also been known as Yuewang and Guanyin Mountain. The hill marks the beginning of Guangzhou's traditional urban axis and has long been tied to the city's history and culture.
Today the park extends over roughly 690,000 square metres and brings together seven hills and three man-made lakes. It holds national key park status, a National 4A Tourism Zone rating, a place among China's Top 100 Famous Parks, and inclusion in the Eight Scenic Spots of Guangzhou. More than 90 percent of the grounds are covered by greenery, with many old and notable trees.
The park is also a place to meet Guangzhou's past. Its protected sites span national, provincial and municipal levels; among them are the Sun Yat-sen Monument, Zhenhai Tower and the Ming Dynasty city wall. Visitors can also find the Five Rams Stone Statue, the city's symbol, along with archways, memorial pavilions, emplacements and lakeside walks. The Guangzhou City Park Exhibition Hall adds a modern, family-friendly stop.
