Yes — real-name, time-slotted reservation is mandatory for both first and repeat entries ('凡进必约，未预约不可入园'), booked via the '张家界一机游' / '张家界旅游小助手' WeChat mini-program or third-party platforms such as 同程; book 1–3 days ahead (3 days advised in peak season); tickets can still be bought on site per one guide, but online is cheaper and on-site stock is limited. Entry by ID card / face scan; foreign visitors scan their passport at the gate instead of holding a paper ticket.

Discount tickets about 119 CNY (students, seniors 60–64); free for under-14 and over-65 (ID required). Cable cars/lift are NOT included and are charged per ride: Bailong Elevator 65, Tianzi cableway 72, Yangjiajie cableway 76, Huangshizhai cableway 65, Ten-Mile Gallery train 38 one way (76 return). A 4-ride combi (238) and unlimited (298) 'three cableways + lift' pass exist, plus a 530 CNY all-inclusive pass.
